I remember that I am lucky to have freedom because I am not in a repressive regime. My life is not in constant danger. I have food, clothes and I can talk to my family whenever I want. I get to go out and meet my friends for a coffee, to take my daughter shopping and my son to the park.

I remember that I am free to travel, to explore and to experience the world. I remember that I can do anything I want, be anything I dream and I have the freedom to choose my life. I also remember that I don’t always remember how lucky I truly am.

So what does this have to do with remembrance day? Quite simply, I would not have the opportunities that I have now if it weren’t for the sacrifices our soldiers made to ensure that Great…
