Lazy Sunday Vibes
Do you allow yourself a lazy day? It is so nice to just stop in this busy world and take time for yourself, but I wonder how many people actually do this these days. I know that I don’t take time for me very often and I use the same excuse that most people probably do… I am a mum and I don’t have time or I have too much to do.
The thing is, you have to stop and think about this in a different way. If you are constantly working without a break, including running your household, then you run the risk of burning out. So isn’t it better to take a day or just a few hours in the day to relax and unwind than to wait until your body gives up on you and forces you to stop by making you ill. You could then end up taking a week off work, and for self employed people like me, that can be a disaster.
So what does your ideal Lazy Sunday look like? Or what ever day of the week you choose to take time off. Would you literally just stay in bed all day long or maybe go and take a long walk in the countryside? Although a long walk isn’t really being lazy, but it may be how you relax.
Today I thought I would have a lazy Sunday. This consisted of sleeping in late, breakfast in bed (that I got myself) and then that was it, I had to get up, get the kids sorted, had phone calls to make, emails to answer etc. My perfect lazy Sunday lasted for about 2 hours. All the while looking around…
