Just For Today

It’s not always easy to be positive, it’s not always easy to do what you ‘should’ be doing. Everyone suffers from lack in motivation at some point in their lives. The thing with procrastination is that it usually demonstrates that you are not aligned with what you are doing. Just for today I am going to eat some fruit and veg.

Just for today I am going to go for a walk in the fresh air and breathe in deeply.

Just for today I am going to see the beauty around me.

Just for today I am going to find 3 things I am grateful for and write them down.

Just for today I will stop myself from saying I can’t, or I am stupid, or I don’t deserve.

Just for today I will know that I am worthy.

The idea for this came from the 5 principles of Reiki that I was given as part of my chakra healing. These 5 principles are all to do with showing up for yourself one day at a time. Sometimes that is all any of us can focus on. Sometimes thinking more than a day ahead can be scary.

When you are feeling really low, you need to do something that breaks the pattern. That is where saying, ‘just for today’ can really help. Your thing for the day may be to watch comedies on Netflix, or listen to music and…
