Brain Fog and Procrastinating Like a Pro
Some days my brain just does not want to cooperate. Today has been one of those days. I have been going round and round in circles with my copywriting today. Every time I have written a sentence, I have analysed it to death and re-written it.
It’s not so much writers block, more writers explosion. My head is just so full I am struggling to organise my thoughts. Do you ever feel like this? If so, what do you do? I would love to know.
I have a few tactics to deal with this mind overload, but I don’t always remember to do them. That may sound slightly bizarre, but 90% of this muddled state is recognising that I am muddled and that I need to do something to declutter my thoughts.
So first thing I know I should do is what is called a brain dump. It is where I literally just write down every thought in my head in what ever order they come to me. There is no right or wrong way to doing this, it is just about emptying your mind and laying it out for visual effect.
Then I need to look at that mass of thoughts on paper and try to pick the things that are important, essential to be actioned immediately or at least in the very near future. Obviously those are the things that I need to focus my attention on, and the others can wait until I have more time.
